Description
Raleigh MTI 1000 John Tomac Design Series Decal Set – Frame Sticker Kit (1994)
John Tomac was the most dominant name in American mountain bike racing in the early 90s. Raleigh put his name on their flagship titanium hardtail and gave it graphics to match — bold yellow on bare metal, impossible to miss. This full decal set reproduces those original factory graphics exactly, so your restoration carries the same presence it had in 1994.
What’s included
Down tube logos (x2), John Tomac Design Series script decals (x2), MTI 1000 RSI head badge, Seattle USA badge, Trinity Tapered Titanium fork badge, size/top tube spec badge (18″ — 22.5″ top tube), and chainstay protector.
Materials & specs
- High-grade self-adhesive vinyl, UV-resistant and waterproof
- Die-cut by plotter for precision fitment
- Stretchable material — conforms to tube shapes without creasing
- Transfer layer included for clean, bubble-free application
- Repositionable within the first few seconds after application — take your time to align before pressing firmly
- Long-term adhesion is strong but decals can be removed cleanly with heat (heat gun or hairdryer) without damaging paint
Installation
Clean all surfaces thoroughly before applying. Remove any old decals completely — never layer over existing stickers as it affects adhesion and final appearance. Allow freshly painted or lacquered surfaces to cure for a minimum of 3 weeks before applying.
Built for restoration, not just decoration
The MTI 1000 John Tomac edition is one of the most sought-after titanium hardtails of the 90s MTB golden era. These decals are built to match that reputation — faithful to the original yellow and black colorway, proportions, and placement so your rebuild is restoration-grade, not just close enough.
