Koga Miyata Gent’s Luxe Decal Set – Frame Sticker Kit (1978)

By 1978 the Gent’s Luxe had moved to Hi-Manga special steel — a high-manganese, double-butted tubeset that replaced the earlier 1024 frame construction and dropped the model to roughly 10.4kg, chromed fork and rear triangle included. The Dutch factory catalogue described it plainly: finely built, and a class bicycle to look at. This set reproduces the complete 1978 factory decal sheet, gold-on-black script and all, including the mirrored down tube pairs most reproductions get wrong. If you’re restoring an original 1978 Gent’s Luxe frame, this is exactly what left the factory on it.

Installation

Clean all surfaces thoroughly before applying. Remove any old decals completely — never layer over existing stickers as it affects adhesion and final appearance. Allow freshly painted or lacquered surfaces to cure for a minimum of 3 weeks before applying.

Built for restoration, not just decoration

The 1978 refresh gave the Gent’s Luxe a completely different visual identity from the earlier block-letter sheets — gold script, chromed accents, and a heavier badge presence that matched the frame’s new Hi-Manga steel. Every logo, badge, and pinstripe here is placed to match the original factory sheet, mirrored pairs included. Get this on the frame and it reads exactly as it did rolling out of the Koga-Miyata works in 1978.
