Koga Miyata Pro-Luxe Decal Set – Frame Sticker Kit (1979)

The Pro-Luxe carried into 1979 as one of Koga-Miyata’s flagship models, still built from Tange Champion double-butted chrome-molybdenum tubing, but now wearing that year’s new round “Koga Miyata Handmade” gear badge in place of the previous year’s simpler hexagonal badge. This set reproduces the complete 1979 factory decal sheet, script logos and all, including the mirrored down tube pairs most reproductions get wrong. If you’re restoring an original 1979 Pro-Luxe frame, this is exactly what left the factory on it.

Installation

Clean all surfaces thoroughly before applying. Remove any old decals completely — never layer over existing stickers as it affects adhesion and final appearance. Allow freshly painted or lacquered surfaces to cure for a minimum of 3 weeks before applying.

The 1979 Pro-Luxe kept its flagship Tange Champion tubeset while picking up the round Handmade badge that marked that year’s identity shift across the range. Every logo, badge, and pinstripe here is placed to match the original factory sheet, mirrored pairs included. Get this on the frame and it reads exactly as it did rolling out of the Koga-Miyata works in 1979.
