Koga Miyata Silver-Ace Decal Set – Frame Sticker Kit (1979)

The Silver-Ace carried into 1979 as one of Koga-Miyata’s Professional-badged road bikes, still built with Hi-Manga special steel tubing, but now wearing that year’s new round “Koga Miyata Handmade” gear badge and a “Silver-Ace” wordmark shown in three separate sizes on the sheet — large, medium, and small. As with the 1978 model, this is the road-bike Silver-Ace, not the Dutch-style city bike that later reused the name. This set reproduces the complete 1979 factory decal sheet, script logos and all, including the mirrored down tube pairs most reproductions get wrong. If you’re restoring an original 1979 Silver-Ace frame, this is exactly what left the factory on it.

Installation

Clean all surfaces thoroughly before applying. Remove any old decals completely — never layer over existing stickers as it affects adhesion and final appearance. Allow freshly painted or lacquered surfaces to cure for a minimum of 3 weeks before applying.

The 1979 Silver-Ace kept its Hi-Manga tubeset and Professional badge while picking up the round Handmade badge that marked that year’s identity shift across the range — still a genuine road bike, years before the name resurfaced on a Dutch city bike. Every logo, badge, and pinstripe here is placed to match the original factory sheet, mirrored pairs included. Get this on the frame and it reads exactly as it did rolling out of the Koga-Miyata works in 1979.
