Description
Koga Miyata Road-Touring Decal Set – Frame Sticker Kit (1977)
The Road-Touring was Koga-Miyata’s distance bike — relaxed steering geometry, front and rear frame eyelets for full fenders and racks, and SuntourGS dropouts in place of the sportier Gent’s models’ fittings. Surprisingly light for a bike built to carry gear, it was the 1977 lineup’s answer to riders planning weekend trips rather than club runs. This Koga Miyata Road Touring decal set reproduces the complete factory sheet for that model year, including the individually spelled seat tube lettering most reproduction sheets leave out entirely. If you’re restoring an original Road-Touring frame, this is exactly what left the factory on it.
What’s included in this Koga Miyata Road Touring decal set
Koga-Miyata down tube logos (x2), Road-Touring model script decals (x2), Miyata head badge medallion, Miyata Industry Co. Ltd. lifetime guarantee winged shield badge, “Built with High-Tensile 1024 Butted Tubes – Complete Frame” tube badge, High-Tensile Complete Fork 1024 badges (x2), individual seat tube lettering spelling out MIYATA in full sets on each side (12 pieces total), and cyan pinstripe accent strips for the fork and stays.
Materials & specs
High-grade self-adhesive vinyl, UV-resistant and waterproof
Die-cut by plotter for precision fitment
Stretchable material — conforms to tube shapes without creasing
Transfer layer included for clean, bubble-free application
Repositionable within the first few seconds after application — take your time to align before pressing firmly
Long-term adhesion is strong but decals can be removed cleanly with heat (heat gun or hairdryer) without damaging paint
Installation
Clean all surfaces thoroughly before applying. Remove any old decals completely — never layer over existing stickers as it affects adhesion and final appearance. Allow freshly painted or lacquered surfaces to cure for a minimum of 3 weeks before applying.
Built for restoration, not just decoration
The frame eyelets and relaxed geometry told you what this bike was for before you’d even read a badge — the Road-Touring was built to carry a rider and their gear, not just chase a club run. Every logo, badge, and lettering set in this decal set is positioned to match the original 1977 factory sheet. Get it on the frame and it reads exactly as it did rolling out of the Koga-Miyata works.
